Inside a corporate firewall you are not likely to encounter such a problem as visitors to your site using different browsers. This recently hit home when using a family members computer and a site I created looked terrible due to the presets of their browser. Hey pops close a few options on your IE!!!

So, how much space does a browser take up? It is depends on the browser and its default settings. The best way to approximate this is to set a monitor at the appropriate screen size, expand the browser, and take a screen grab.
